Student Ministry

About Student Ministry

At OGC, we place a high value on Gospel-centered, Word-saturated, and relational student ministry.

This is a conscious departure from the typical understanding of the "Evangelical Youth Group" culture.

OGC Students

The Student Ministry is for 6th-12th grade students to grow in Christ through God’s word and form an authentic community while preparing them to be sent into the schools of Orlando and for life after high school.

Weekly Meetings

We meet weekly as an opportunity for students in Orlando to gather together to worship God and learn more about him through scripture. We meet from 6-8 PM every Wednesday night at OGC. Each night we enjoy a game, a sermon, and small group discussions led by our Student Ministry Volunteers.

Retreats & Events

Retreats are valuable opportunities for our students to get outside of their normal context, unplug from devices, and have concentrated times of worship, Bible study, and fellowship.

Throughout the year, we also try to have various events geared towards building friendship and community. These may be anything from service and worship-oriented activities to fun stuff like games, swimming, sports, dinners, desserts, etc.

Partnering with Parents for Discipleship

The heart of our ministry is seeing students grow in their relationship with Christ through personal relationships with their parents, fellow students, elders, and staff at Orlando Grace Church.

An essential component of our ministry is parents partnering with and knowing those working with their kids. If you’re interested in learning more about our Student Ministry Director or our volunteers, we’d love to hear from you.
