New Here

At OGC, we place a high value on Gospel-centered, Word-saturated, and relational student ministry. This is a conscious departure from the typical understanding of the "Evangelical Youth Group" culture.

For a summary of how we view this vital ministry, watch this short interview with Cameron Cole, founder of Rooted Ministries, and Skyler Flowers, our previous Director of Student Ministries:

Orlando Grace Students

The Student Ministry is for 6th-12th grade students to grow in Christ through God’s word and form an authentic community while preparing them to be sent into the schools of Orlando and for life after high school.

Weekly Meetings

We meet weekly as an opportunity for students in Orlando to gather together to worship God and learn more about him through scripture. We meet from 6-8 PM every Wednesday night. Each night we enjoy a game, a sermon, and small group discussions led by our Student Ministry Volunteers.

We also have an Equipping Hour class starting at 10:45, after worshiping in the 10:45 AM service. It is geared towards equipping students to flourish through Word-centered study in an intimate setting. This is a great time for growing together relationally and spiritually.

Retreats

Retreats are valuable opportunities for our students to get outside of their normal context and unplugging from electronics to have concentrated times of worship and Bible study. Keep an eye out for these opportunities as they arrive throughout the year!

Events

Throughout the year, we try to have various events geared towards building friendship and community. These may be anything from service and worship-oriented activities to fun stuff like games, swimming, sports, dinners, desserts, etc. Our monthly events will often be planned a couple of months in advance, so please refer to the bulletin, newsletter, or contact Ben for more information and announcements.
Personal Relationships and Guidance

The heart of our ministry is seeing students grow in their relationship with Christ through personal relationships with their parents, fellow students, elders, and staff at Orlando Grace Church. In light of this, an essential component of our ministry is parents partnering with and knowing those working with their kids, so please reach out to Ben Alderman the Director of Student Ministry to meet with them. You can email him at ben@orlandograce.org! It is our hope that students and parents will be heard, encouraged, advised, and equipped through the Student Ministry.
