A Welcome from our
Pastor-Teacher
Thank you for your interest in Orlando Grace Church! We praise
God for the way He is at work among us as a people and welcome inquiries like
yours into our values, mission, vision, and ministries. We pray your visit to
our site will prove beneficial as you seek answers to whatever questions you may
have about OGC.
We aspire by God’s grace more and more to be a people making much
of God in everything for the joy of peoples everywhere. More than anything else
we want to grow as a community of believers who go hard after God in prayer, in
His word, in worship, and in good works. Nothing matters more to us than
becoming a God-centered, Christ-exalting, Spirit-saturated church. In an age
where predominantly man-centered evangelicalism desperately needs a modern
reformation, we pray that the Lord would graciously work in us to convict and
shape us into a people exemplifying the cry of the Reformers: semper reformanda
(“always reforming”). The end result of such lofty expectations extends
ultimately to the nations – for their joy in coming to trust Jesus Christ as
their supreme treasure. God-centered, reform-minded, nations-burdened. These
things fuel the fire at OGC.
After an extraordinarily challenging hard providence for our
church in ’05 where I battled head and neck cancer for the better part of the
year, God gave us an ’06 where we made considerable strides toward strengthening
our ministry. We adopted a set of new values, mission, and vision statements,
the contents of which appear throughout this site. We sent out one of our very
best families to full-time missions on the field of Romania. We developed a
significant ministry to college students as God brought numerous ones from
neighboring UCF.
As we move into ’07 we seek to become a church all the more “on
mission” for the cause of reaching people for the cause of Christ. We have
formed a building committee in hopes of breaking ground for our first ever
facility on the property God has given us on Maitland Avenue here in Altamonte
Springs. These are but a few of the things we are believing God to do for the
fame of His name and the joy of all peoples at OGC.
If the Lord leads you to join us in corporate worship some Lord’s
Day soon, we look forward to the delight of meeting you and sharing in the work
of God in our lives. May He grant you His grace to forsake all other inferior
and competing pleasures to pursue ultimate satisfaction in Him through Jesus
Christ!

Matthew 16:18 |

We exist to glorify
God before realms invisible and visible by continually developing a
community of believers growing ever increasingly more satisfied in all that
God is for us in Christ Jesus, such that the overflow of our joy,
demonstrated in love for unbelieving and believing peoples near and far,
calls them by the Holy Spirit’s power to turn from seeking their fulfillment
in sin and its inferior pleasures to pursuing the Son of God and the
ultimate satisfaction that comes from being rightly and intimately related
through Him to God the Father.
